Spring has sprung, the temperature is rising, and the excitement of everything becoming new again is here. This is also the time when we start to clean up our homes and yards, better known as Spring Cleaning. Well it’s the same for our Club. This is the time of year when we need to do our Spring Cleaning for our Club. As you know, we are all expected to do our part. The first part is coming up at 5:30 P.M. on April 19th. That’s right, it’s the first of three road clean-ups. We are having it the same night as the April Membership Meeting because you’re already coming out; you just have to come a little early. Besides, we are having our Annual Ham Dinner after the meeting. You don’t want to miss that.

Hunting Report: Chairman Tom Rose

I hope you were able to get your Turkey Permits because it’s that time again. Turkey Hunting has started this month. Good luck to those lucky enough to get their permits.

There’s big discussion about the stray cat law. It’s developed a lot of controversy. We will have to wait and see what happens.

Land Report: Chairman Jim Bodden

Building Report: Chairman Jay Nobles

-Most of the marked trees have been cut down. Many of them still need to be cleaned up. We will include that in out Spring Clean-up, May 14th at 9:00 A.M. We will be cleaning the building and the property. There’s a lots to be done so plan on being there.

-The trails that Jay Nobles has been cutting into and around the cedar swamp have been pretty much completed. We are planning to use some of the cut trees as a base for in the wetter areas.

-The fuel tank for the furnace needs to be moved so it is higher than the furnace. This will allow gravity to help feed the fuel to the furnace. We are planning on building the foundation for the tank in May and the structure to house it over the summer.

Raffle Report: Chairman Larry Crass

It has been decided to sell the tickets for this years Raffle for $5.00 rather than 6 for $5.00. This will save us printing costs and make it much easier to manage. Larry is asking everyone to find donations of prizes. The more we have the easier it is to sell the tickets.
