Hunting
River Wayside-This
wayside provides walk-in access to the Hunting
River, noted for its excellent supply of trout.
From Antigo, go 15 miles north on Hwy. 45
to Cty. T. Go east on Cty. T five miles to
the park. Picnic tables, outhouses.
Moose
Lake Park-This park is located on
Moose Lake in the Town of Norwood, 3 miles
northwest of Phlox.The park has no camping
and is primarily designed for picnicking and
a boat access. Swimming is not available.
From Antigo, go south five miles on Hwy. 45
to Hwy. 47. Go east on Hwy. 47 six miles,
north on Cty. S two miles, and then left on
Park Road. Picnic tables, outhouses, boat
landing.
Otter
Lake Wayside-This
wayside provides a rest and picnic spot along
Hwy. 45-47, and fishing and boat access to
Otter Lake. Go north from ERlcho one mile
on Hwy. 45-47. Picnic tables, outhouses, boat
landing.
Post
lake Wayside-This
wayside provides picnic tables and a boat
launch on Post lake. Take Hwy. 45-47 to County
K in Elcho. Go east on K four miles to the
park. Picnic tables, outhouses, boat landing.
Summit
Lake Park-This park is located on
Summit Lake adjacent to State Hwy. 45 in Summit
Lake, Wisconsin.The park has no camping and
is primarily designed as a formal swimming
beach. A nice sandy beach awaits the park
visitor. Swim marker buoys are provided.Picnicking
is a popular activity at the park. Playground
apparatus are available. take Hwy 45-47 north
from Antigo. The lake is on the west side
of the highway in Summit lake. Picnic tables,
outhouses, swimming, dressing rooms, playground.
Veteran's
Memorial Park is the only county
park in Langlade County that offers overnight
camping.The park is operated by Langlade County
and offers a variety of year-round recreational
activities including camping, swimming, hiking,
biking, fishing, and cross-country skiing.
Campers can
choose from 41 sites, most with electricity.
The park is located on Jack lake, which provides
opportunties to swim and launch nonmotorized
boats. Take Hwy. 45-47 north 12 miles from
Antigo to Cty. I. Follow Cty. I east three
miles to the park. Picnic tables, picnic shelter,
outhouses, toilets, tent sites, trailer sites,
swimming, beach, hiking, nature trails, volleyball,
boat landing.
