Nugget Lake County Parks 752 acres
of semi-wilderness, outdoor entusiasts
will find plenty to keep them occupied.
Anglers may hook largemouth bass,
bluegill, pumpkinseed, black crappie
and walleye in 116 acre Nugget lake.
Canoes and boats can also be rented
by the hour, and a sandy shoreline
provides a spot to sun and swim. The
campground has 55 campsites (some
with electricity) and hot showers.
More than six miles of hiking trails,
with benches and scenic overlokks
along the way, double as cross-country
ski trails in the winter. An outdoor
amphitheater shows nature films on
summer weekends. From Ellsworth, take
Hwy. 10 east past Rush River to Cty.
CC. Go north three miles on Cty. CC
to Cty. HH. Go east two miles to the
park. Picnic tables, picnic shelter,
outhouses, toilets, tent sites, trailer
sites, swimming, beach, dressing rooms,
hiking, nature trails, cross-country
skiing, playground, boat landing.
