Davis Flowage Primtive
Campsites-Located
3 miles north of Stanbury near the intersection
of County M and Hwy, 77. Access to the flowage
is from a boat landing along Chimpanazie
Road on the east side of the flowage. Access
to the flowage is gained after a short float
down th Chimpanazie River(200 yards) No
other motorized access to the flowage exists.
Two primitive campsites exist just off the
dike on the west end of the flowage. Both
sites have a picnic table and fire ring.

Leisure Lake Picnic
Area-The
small picnic area, located near part of
the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway,
offers a swimming beach, boat landing and
picnic area on Leisure Lake. From Spooner,
take Cty. k north about five miles to Spring
Lake Road. Turn west and continue to the
stop sign where Spring Lake Road turns into
Island Lake Road. Turn north and travel
about three miles to Skunk Lake Road, which
will be marked with sign for Washburn County
Youth Camp. Turn right and continue to the
park. Picnic tables, outhouses, swimming,
beach, boat landing.
Sawmill Lake Campground-Washurn
County operates a campground on Sawmill
Lake 8 miles north of Birchwood. It is surrounded
by many small glacial
lakes which are connected by a canoe portage
system.The campground has 25 campsites with
picnic tables and fire rings. No electricity
is available. Dock, shelter, vault toilets,
water, boat launch. No motors allowed on
lake. From Spooner, take Hwy. 70 east 15
miles to County B. Turn south on Cty. B
and go three miles, then continue south
on Birchwood Fire Lane for five miles. Picnic
tables, outhouses, tent sites, trailer sites,
swimming, hiking, nature trail, boat landing.

Slim Creek Flowage
and Picnic Area-This
site on the Slim Creek Flowage provides
opportunities for boating and fishing. Anglers
can hook northern, walleye, pan fish and
bass. From Spooner, take Hwy. 70 east 15
miles to Cty. B Turn south on Cty. B and
go 2 1/2 miles tp Slim Creek. Turn down
Slim Creek and go one mile to the picnic
area. Picnic tables, boat landing.
Totogatic Campground-this
campground is located in the northwest part
of Wasburn County on the Minong Flowage,
approximately 8 mlies west of Minong.
The campground has 71 sites,
most which have electricity. Facilities
include beach, swimming, boat ramp, dock,
picnic areas, flush and vault toilets, water,
firewood From Spooner, travel north 22 miles
on Hwy. 53 to Mining. In Mining, turn west
on Hwy. 77 and travel one mile to Cty. I
Turn north and go seven miles to the park
entrance. Picnic tables, outhouses, toilets,
tent sites, trailer sites, swimming, beach,
hiking, nature trail, playground, boat landing.

County forest camping-this
is allowed with prior permission of the
Forest Administrator and with a tent or
lesser facility. Camping during the nine
day gun season is allowed with larger facilities
within 200 feet of a road or county forest
road.
