Gile
Park-Located on the norther shore
of the Gile Flowage, Gile Park offers several
boat landings, a swimming area and picnic
facilities with fireplaces. Primitive camping
is allowed on all the islands in the flowage.
Anglers will find muskellunge, bass, walleye,
and northern pike. Take Hwy. 77 into Gile,
west of Hurley, where the park is located.
Picnic tables,picnic shelter, toilets, tent
sites, trailer sites, swimming, dressing rooms,
playground, boat landing.
Lake
of the Falls Park-this park encompasses
40 acres and a small waterfall on the 19,00
acre Turtle Flambeau Flowage where visitors
can launch a boat and fish for muskellunge,
bass, walleye and northern pike. The park
offers 30 open field campsites, a swimming
area and a picnic area equipped with fireplaces.
Take Hwy. 51 to Cty. FF and go southwest.
Follw Cty. FF to the park. Picnic tables,picnic
shelter, outhouses, tent sites, trailer sites,
playground, boat landing.
Potato
Falls Recreation Area-After a long
hike through the woods down to the river,
visitors can view the 90 foot drop of Potato
River Falls. Campers seeking primitive conditions
can also pitch a tent in the park. From Hurley
take Hwy. 2 west to Hwy 169 in Cedar. Turn
south on Hwy. 169 and travel 2 1/2 miles to
Potato Falls Road. Turn west and continue
for two miles. Tent sites, hiking.
Saxon
Harbor Park-With 52 boat slips on
Lake Superior, this park is much like a marina.
The extrasinclude a swimming beach, seven
open field campsites with electricity, a playground
and a picnic area with fireplaces. Take Hwy.2
to Hwy. 122. Go north on Hwy. 122 to the park.
Picnic tables, picnic shelter,outhouses, tent
sites, trailer sites, swimming, dressing rooms,
playground, boat landing.
Weber
Lake Park-This 10 acre park sits
on the shores of the tiny but popular Weber
Lake, used for summertime swimming and trout
fishing. Seven campsites with electricity
are available. Take Hwy. 77 west of Hurley
to Cty. E. Go west on E to the park. Picnic
tables, picnic shelter, outhouses, tent sites,
trailer sites, swimming, dressing rooms, playground,
boat landing,
