Hayman Falls Park-Located on Pella Pond, a part of the Embarrass River, this park offers 30 acres of wooded biking trails, including a walk along the shoreline. The park also provides picnic tables, shelter and a playground. From Shawano, travel west on Hwy. 29 to Cty. U. Turn south and go two miles to Cty. M. Turn west and travel 2 1/2 miles to Cty. D. Turn west on D and travel two miles through Pella to Hayman Falls Road. Picnic tables, picnic shelter, outhouses, hiking, nature trails, playground.

 

Mielke Park- This park offers visitors four nature trails for quit walks. Children can cast a line for pan fish in Mielke pond. The site also provides picnic tables and a playground. From the Shawano area turn off Hwy. 29 onto Cty. HHH, on the west side of Shawano. Turn north and continue 1 1/2 miles. Picnic tables, outhouses, nature trails, playground.

 

Shawano County Park-A popular camping site with 90 campsites and an open field for trailer camping. The lake provides a swimming beach, a boat landing and good bass fishing. From Hwy. 29 in Shawano, turn onto Cty. H. Continue north six miles. Picnic tables, picnic shelter, toilets, tent sites, trailer sites, swimming, beach, dressing rooms, tennis, playground, boat landing.

 

Sunset Island Park-Situated in the city of Shawano, this island park offers picnic tables, picnic shelter and a boat landing. Located two blocks off Hwy. 47/55 behind the Sheriff's Dept, the park is on the channel between the Wolf Riverand Shawano Lake. Picnic tables, picnic shelter, boat landing.

 

Voelz Lake Memorial Park-This park is popular for its swimming beach on Wilson Lake. Located on the western edge of the county, the park also provides picnic tables and shelter, cross-country ski trails, playground, boat landing. From the junction of 45 and 29 in Wittenberg, take Hwy. 29 west four miles to Nightengale Road. Turn south and go one mile to Oak Road. Turn west and go 1/2 mile to entrance. Picnic tables, picnic shelter, toilets, swimming, beach, playground, boat landing.

 

Waukechon Riverside Park-Offering access to the Wolf River, this park contains a boat landing and fishing piers. Although trout are most common, anglers can hook many different kinds of fish in the river. From Shawano, take Hwy. 22 south to Cty. CC. Travel six miles south on CC th Cty. CCC. Turn east and go 1/2 mile to the park. Boat landing only.
