Asylum
Point Park-This
56 acre park, dedicated to wildlife habitat
restoration, offers excellent shore fishing.
Situated on the shore of Lake Winnebago, from
lakefront to marshland to prairie. From Oskosh,
take Cty. A north to Snell Road. Turn east
and go 1/2 mile to Sherman Road. Turn south
and continue to the park. Outhouses, toilets,
boat landing.
Black
Wolf Boat Landing/Nagy Park-This
park provides access to Lake Winnebago and
includes picnic facilities, a harboor and
a a boat launch. From Oshkosh, travel south
on Hwy. 45 for eight miles. Picnic tables,
toilets, boat landing.
Boom
Bay Boat landing-This
landing derives its name from the rafts of
logs or "booms" that logging companies
once secured in a section of the bay north
of the current launch area. The current landing
opens onto the east side of Lake Poygan. From
Neenah, take Hwy. 150 west past Winchester
to Cty. M. Turn south and go 1/2 mile to Cty.
MM. Turn west and continue to Richter Lane.
Turn north and continue to the landing. Outhouses,
boat landing.
Eureka
Boat landing-A
huge fishing site, this landing is especially
popular in the spring, during the walleye
and bass runs on the Fox River. Anglers also
pursue catfish from a wharf along the shoreline
or from boats, which can be launched from
three ramps at the landing. From Omro, take
Hwy. 21 west to Cty. K Turn south and continue
to Eureka. The landing is off Hwy. K on the
Fox River. Picnic tables, picnic shelter,
outhouses, boat landing.
Grundman
Boat Landing and Park-Anglers
and boaters can access this Lake Winnebago
from this park, which offers three launch
ramps and two docks. The landing provides
access to some of the better walleye nad perch
spots on the lake. The shoreline also creates
a scenic picnic spot. From Oshkosh, take Cty.
A north 3 1/2 miles past Winnebago. Turn east
on Grundman lane to the landing. Picnic tables,
outhouses, toilets, swimming, boat landing.
Lake
Butte Des Morts Boat Landing-Popular
for its fishing and boating access onto Lake
Butte Des Morts, this landing provides a handicapped-accessible
fishing pier, harbor and boat launch. From
Oshkosh take Hwy. 21 west to Sandpit Road.
Turn north and go one mile to Leonard Point
Road. Turn west and go 1/2 mile to the landing.
Picnic tables, picnic shelter, outhouses,
playground, boat landing.
Lake
Poygan Boat Landing-This
landing provides access to the south shore
of Lake Poygan, which offers excellent fishing
year-round. From Winneconne, take Hwy. B west
eight miles. Picnic tables, outhouses, boat
landing.
Lake
Winneconne Park-A
28-acre site, this park is one of the most
heavily used in the county. It offers access
to Lake Winneconne from the beach and has
an island-protected channel for overnite mooring.
Located in Winneconne, the park can be reached
by taking Hwy. 116 to 3rd Ave. Turn north
on 3rd Ave and continue to the park. Picnic
tables, picnic shelter, outhouses, toilets,
swimming, beach, dressing rooms, baseball,
volleyball, playground, boat landing.
Waukau
Creek Nature Preserve-This
preserve features Waukau Creek, formerly known
as Rush Creek. Densely wooded ravines slope
into the floodplain, providing a naturally
beautiful setting for a picnic or hike. From
Omro, take Hwy. 16 south to Waukau. Go north
on Dehli Road 1/4 mile past Hwy. K Picnic
tables, outhouses, hiking, nature trails.
Winnebago
County Community park-A
complete recreational facility adjacent to
the county fairgrounds, this park features
two fishing lakes and a swimming beach. From
Oshkosh, take Hwy. 45 north to Cty. Y. Turn
east and go 1/2 mile. Picnic tables, picnic
shelters, toilets, swimming, beach, nature
trail, baseball, tennis, playgroung.
