Dexter
Park

Park is located 6 miles south of Pittsville
at junction of STH 80 & 54 West. The park
is located on 1,235 acres around Lake Dexter,
which was developed in 1962. The lake is 298
acres.Dexter Park has
over 1,000 acres of wild or undeveloped land
with abundant wild life and game fish.Dexter
Park features a campground with 95 camping
units, 85 of these are electrical. Blacktop
camp pads are provided on all camp sites.
Shower facilities are also available.Some
of Dexter Park features are an enclosed shelter,
playground, tennis courts, handicapped fish
access areas and hiking trail.
Powers
Bluff Park

Recreation Area is located 2 1/2 miles southwest
of Arpin; or 17 miles northwest of Wisconsin
Rapids; or 15 miles southeast of Marshfield.
The area can be easily reached from U.S. Highway
10 or from STH 13 via County Highway E.Seventy
acres of Powers Bluff is a Scientific Preservation
Area. There is a 1.5 mile self-guided nature
trail. Indian dance rings and burial grounds
are preserved.
Nepco
Lake Park

Park was donated in 1977 by Nekoosa Papers,
Inc., as a day use park.Nepco Lake Park is
located 1 mile south of Wisconsin Rapids on
STH 13 (enter on Griffith Avenue, CTH Z).
The park is 125 acres and is located on the
494 acre Nepco Lake. Nepco Park features a
beach area, boat ramp, picnic area, playground,
handicapped access paths boat dock and small
shelter. An enclosed shelter is available
for rent year round.
North
Wood County Park

Wood County Park is located 5 miles north
of STH 13 & 80 on CTH A.The
park is located on 172 acres on the banks
of the Yellow River. Two small artificial
lakes created by dams on the river and a small
pine-wooded island provide scenic beauty for
the entire area.One
of the main attractions of the park is the
225 foot suspension bridge over the Yellow
River. Other attractions include a frisbee
golf course, peddle boat rental, a stone shelter
for rent, and a beach area.There
are 98 campsites located at North Park, 77
of these are electrical. Shower facilities
are available.
South
Wood County Park

Wood County Park is located 5 1/4 miles east
of Wisconsin Rapids on CTH W. The park is
located on 332 acres around Lake Wazeecha,
which is the Indian name that means "lake
of the land of the pines." The lake is
148 acres.Camping is
a popular attraction at South Wood County
Park. There are 73 campsites, 54 of these
electrical. Shower facilities are available.
