




Wildcat Mountain State Park
Wildcat Mountain State Park is located three miles east of the village of Ontario on Highway 33. The park is open year-round from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wildcat Mountain State Park has campgrounds for families and individuals, groups and people with horses that can be reserved. There are twenty five sites at the family campground at the top of Wildcat Mountain. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring and the campground has flush toilets, showers and a dump station. There is als a horse campground and outdoor group campground with three reservable group campsites..
There are two shelters at Pike Lake that can be reserved for group activities. The north shelter has capacity for 100 and electricity. The south shelter has capacity for 30, has electricity and flush toilets.
There are two shelters and an amphitheater at Wildcat Mountain State Park. The upper picnic shelter and amphitheater can be reserved.
There are six hiking trails at the park ranging in length from one mile to the ski/hiking trail that is seven miles long.
Recreation and activities include hiking, horseback riding, camping, picnicking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hunting, trapping and cross-country skiing.

Camping in Wisconsin
Campgrounds in Wisconsin are as varied as the areas around them--there are forests, prairies, lakes, rivers, hills, and valleys. You'll find campgrounds, trails, historic and archaeological sites, places for solitude and places for large group gatherings. There are also Campgrounds in county parks, state parks and national forests.
A typical campsite is in a natural setting with road access, a fire ring, and a picnic table, and can be used by either vehicle or tent campers. But there also are backpack, walk-in, and canoeing -in sites, sites with electrical hookups, and sites designed specifically for either tent or vehicle campers.
